Thunderheart woke with the light shinning brightly in his face. He didn't have dawn patrol today, thank goodness. It was his least favorite thing to do. He looked around camp, searching for someone to talk to. He wasn't quite in the mood to talk to a she-cat, that required work and it was too early in the morning for work. Instead, he spotted Brokensnow slowly eating a mouse. He walked with purpose towards his fellow warrior, intent on starting a conversation with the bright SnakeClan warrior.

Brokensnow [/b] Brokensnow tried to hide his love for playing with his food. He knew it was against the warrior code, but still! It was fun to make the mouse talk, and run away from the giant cat.
Brokensnow saw Thunderheart coming towards him. He quickly stopped playing with the mouse, and took a bite. He looked up, his amber eyes bright and friendly.
"Hey Thunderheart!" he meowed. It sounded like, "Hayf Funferhart!" on account of talking with his mouth full. He quickly swallowed, then asked,"What's up?" he looked up at the sunny sky, and meowed,"It's really nice today! Might be a little hot, but other then that, it's gonna be a great day!" the cheery tom could bring up anyone's mood. It was like a virus.

Thunderheart [/b] Thunderheart smiled in amusement at the bright tom. "Hewwo, Bwokneshnow" Thunderheart imitated. He laughed at his own joke. "I think it's already unbearably hot. My longer fur doesn't help, either." He sat down, and started to groom himself while his friend ate.

Brokensnow [/b] Brokensnow studied his friend's long hair. Yes, it must be extremely hot with all that fur on! Then, Brokensnow had an idea.
"What if we were to cut it off? Your hair, I mean," Brokensnow suggested. "That way, it'll be a lot cooler, and you'll be able to grow it back by the time of leaf-bare."
Brokensnow's amber eyes lit up with the idea. It seemed reasonable to him. Besides, his clanmate was shedding everywhere, why not take off a little more hair?

Thunderheart [/b] Thunderheart stared at Brokensnow. "Cu...cu....cutt my fur?" Thunderheart stammered. He looked at his beautiful fur, so well groomed and well kept. "I can't do that! Not my precious fur!" He then looked at the sun, not even close to its highest point. He then leveled his gaze with Brokensnow. "How would we cut it?"

Brokensnow [/b] Brokensnow narrowed his amber eyes for a moment, lost in thought. That was a good question: how WOULD they cut it? His eyes then lit up with an idea.
"If we could find a sharp enough stone, we could hack through the long hair," Brokensnow explained. "the problem would be finding a sharp enough stone. Maybe if we got something from the twolegs, we could get some twoleg shiny stuff. Some of it's really sharp, but it'll be worth it! You'd be cooled off, and it'd feel really good."
Brokensnow always had really great ideas, but they seemed far out there. But who knows, this harebrained might actually work. All they had to do was apply it.

Thunderheart [/b] Thunderheart nodded for a moment, then nodded. Any danger they would get into was worth it. "Alright, let's go!" Thunderheart exclaimed, dashing off towards the camp entrance. Thunderheart new exactly where to go to find a sharp twoleg tool, too...

Brokensnow [/b] Brokensnow widened his eyes in surprise with his friend's burst of enthusiasm. He got up, and started off at a fast pace, leaving the half-finished mouse behind.
"Hey, wait up!" Brokensnow called out. "Do you know where we're going?" He loped after his friend, hoping this excited brown warrior knew where he was going. Birds chirped their morning songs as the two toms ran through the forest. It was going to be a really nice day as Brokensnow had predicted.

Thunderheart [/b] Thunderheart knew exactly where to go- at the edge of SnakeClan territory was a twoleg path. It went out of SnakeClan territory, then ended up in a large twoleg camp. Thunderheart had followed it before, traveling far down into the unknown. Brokensnow raced behind him as he headed straight for the path. Suddenly Thunderheart skidded to a halt before going onto the path, causing Brokensnow to crash into him. Both toms stayed quiet as they looked ahead. A twoleg passed by with their dog. The dog was old and only looked at the two cats, not bothering to give chase. Thunderheart waited until the twoleg and the dog had gone far up the road, then turned back to Brokensnow. "This path leads straight to a twoleg camp. We can find what we're looking for there!"

Brokensnow [/b] Brokensnow's amber eyes were alight with excitement. He pawed at the grass, and looked ahead into the unknown.
"Well, what are we waiting for?" Brokensnow meowed. "Let's go!" He trotted forward, but not at a run. He looked at the Thunderpath. It was black, and smelled terribly. The material that made it was some kind of rock; Brokensnow poked it, and it was hot underpaw. He wrinkled his nose in disgust.
"how do twolegs stand this?" He asked in amazement. They would walk along, sometimes alone, and sometimes accompanied by other twolegs or dogs, as if they didn't mind the smell. "Maybe they're stupid."
After some walking, they saw what looked like a bunch of red nests. Brokensnow's amber eyes widened in surprise.
"they're so big!" he mewed. He then asked,"alright, where do we find the shiny stuff?"

Thunderheart [/b] "I don't know. I only knew that they would be somewhere around here." Thunderheart ignored Brokensnow's groan of annoyance and strode forward. "I'm sure we can find some. Come on!" Thunderheart meowed, starting forward on the hard surface. He jumped up onto a fence, precariously balanced on its thin surface. He slowly crept forward, and jumped down behind one of the twoleg's nests. There didn't seem to be anyone there.

Brokensnow [/b] Brokensnow joined his companion on the fence, and looked around the grassy area behind the nest. he wrinkled his nose in disgust. There were dog markers everywhere!
"Ugh, look at that!" he meowed with distaste. "Signs of a pet dog everywhere!" He scanned the area a little more, then pointed his ears towards what looked like a tiny entrance into the nest. He jumped down, stepping gently to avoid the smelly markers, and pushed his paw into the flappy entrance.
"Looks like we can enter!" he meowed excitedly. He shoved his head through, and the body soon followed after. New scent hit his scent glands, some good and some revolting. His whiskers trembled with excitement. Never before had he been in something like this structure. Above, he could no longer see the sky. There was a cover over it. A nervous worm gnawed its way into his belly.
"Starclan can no longer see us," he whispered. Brokensnow shook his pelt, and meowed with a firmer voice, "Let's find the shiny stuff and get out of here!"
Brokensnow sniffed the air, and strode into a place filled with a lot of different scents. They reminded him of prey, but it was a little off. He looked around, and stepped in. He gasped, looking down. The floor they walked on before was like grass, but a little furrier. This floor was like ice, except not as cold. He padded along carefully, trying not to slip. He looked around his surroundings, and saw something shiny up on a ledge. With one huge leap, he got up, but knocked over a weird-shaped rock. It fell to the floor, and shattered on impact. The noise made his heart skipped a beat, and he saw the shards of the rock everywhere.
"Watch your step!" Brokensnow warned. "The shards look extremely sharp... hey wait! That might work! Grab one."
Brokensnow saw another shiny Twoleg thing. It was interesting, looking sharp. At the end, there were two holes which he could put his paws in. Brokensnow soon discovered if he pushed the holes apart, the shiny stuff split apart, but didn't break. He pushed the holes back together, and the sharp shiny things became one again.
"I think I found something useful-" Brokensnow began, but was cut off by a high pitched bark. Brokensnow's heart stopped cold for a moment, then resumed at a fast rate. A small dog came around the corner, barking rapidly. The dog might've been small, but Brokensnow could clearly see the creature's fangs.
"RUN!" Brokensnow screeched, picking up the twoleg device. He jumped off the ledge, opposite of the place with many sharp shards, and started to run for his life.

Thunderheart Thunderheart heard the barking and whipped around, screeching in surprise. The dog was small and stupid looking, but Thunderheart was so surprised to see it so close he jumped three feet into the air. When he landed, he raced to where Brokensnow was and leaped next to his friend. Thunderheart's fur stood almost straight up he was so frightened. He knew they shouldn't have entered the twoleg nest. "Not a word of this will be mentioned to Raccoonstar." Thunderheart said as he stared at the dog. Thunderheart thought for a moment, he didn't want to risk fighting the dog- if one of them got a large wound then SnakeClan wouldn't know where to look for them. And this wasn't the smartest idea he had ever had. The weird clear flap they had come through was a straight shot away, if Thunderheart leaped far enough he could bring the dog outside, giving Brokensnow time to escape. "I'm going to leap down and race out the flap." Thunderheart explained. "The dog should follow. In the yard, I'm going to go opposite the way we came, so go in a different direction." Thunderheart didn't wait for his comrade's response. He leaped as far as he possibly could and was already running when he landed. He didn't check to see if the dog was following him- that was a risk he couldn't take. He zipped out of the flap and into the yard. In four bounds he was at the fence and he scrambled up as fast as he could, then whipped his head around to see if the dog had followed.

Brokensnow Brokensnow blinked, watching his friend dart across the nest and run out. The dog had started to follow, then wheeled around, seeing one cat still inside. Brokensnow's amber eyes were wide with horror. His thoughts raced as he thought up a plan. Without thinking, he darted forward with the shiny twoleg thing in his mouth, and charged straight towards the flap, and towards the dog.
The dog's eyes widened in surprise, and it leapt forward. The trained white warrior was faster. He slammed his front legs down and crouched down, leaning to the side as the dog flew by. Brokensnow jabbed his head sideways, driving the shiny thing into the dog's side as it skidded past him, ripping open a jagged wound. The dog's growl turned into a yelp as blood poured out from the deep wound. Without a second glance, Brokensnow ran for the flap.
When Brokensnow entered the yard, he clambered up the fence, looking to see if the dog had followed. He heard no footsteps, and saw no dog.

[shadow=red,left,300][glow=red,2,300]MOONFIRE[/glow] [/shadow]They were missing warriors! Where was Thunderheart and Brokensnow? She wanted Thunderheart for a Hunting patrol. Just because he was excused from the dawn patrol, didn't mean that he could go off exploring like a kit! She sighed, Thunderheart was known for sleeping in and goofing off, and she knew that he was fiercely loyal, but sometimes he could get a little annoying. Now that she was deputy, she hoped that she could get him to be a little more active. He may be the most handsome cat in the clan (not that she really cared) but he was one of the laziest cats too! And then there was Brokensnow, the adventurous tom. He had just received his warrior name. Somehow, she could tell that he had persuaded Thunderheart to go on a little adventure. He was a very smart she knew, but his smart ideas usually got him into a lot of trouble. She just knew that the pair had gone off somewhere. She hoped that there were not in too much trouble! Moonfire sighed and then decided to look for them. They were going to be in a bit of trouble once she found them... She started to follow their scents, she could pick up some excitement from the young toms (not that she was much older). Where were they going that could cause such excitement? After a while, their scents took her to the edge of the SnakeClan border. Surely they wouldn't think of crossing out of SnakeClan territory! But the scent was true. She wasn't really that surprised, after all, she had gone out of the territory before to go on an adventure. However, she was an apprentice then! Still, she had just received her warrior name. Sometimes she thought that Raccoonstar should have chosen someone else. " Mousebrain!" she thought out loud, she should be looking for Brokensnow and Thunderheart, not dwelling on what should have happened and shouldn't have! Besides, just because she was young didn't mean that she wasn't capable! She started tracking them again. All of a sudden, she heard barking. She rushed to the twoleg den just in time to see Thunderheart jump onto the fence. She saw him turn around to look behind him as if he lost something. As he stared down at the other side of the fence in horror, she heard a howl and then Brokensnow leaped up on the fence too. She was relived as she was disappointed. Why would they go out here without telling anyone? "Brokensnow, Thunderheart! Get down from there!" she hissed.
