Foxheart entered Silentstar's den. "I overheard what Seastar meowed." He growled. "Do you think she would be that mouse-brained?" He noticed his leaders tired look. "Er, nevermind. I'll, um, talk to you later." He dashed out the den and into the Warriors den, bumping into Woodstripes. "Sorry." He huffed quickly and leapt into comfortable moss.

Silentstar blinked, watching his deputy leave. He was tired. So, he settled down, and fell asleep.

Woodstripes

woodstripes watched him with narrowed purple eyes.
"You better be sorry," she huffed, settling down in a mess, and grooming her fur down. The brown she-cat had an annoyed expression as she tried to drift off into sleep. But, there was something amiss tonight. She didn't know what, and she felt restless.

Foxheart rolled his eyes. This is exactly why he didn't interact with other Warriors. They were annoying and troublesome, Especially Woodstripes. Many toms swooned over her for no exact reason. Foxheart didn't even think she was that pretty

Badgerface lifted his head at the two cats talking. "Ugh, just leave Woodstripes alone and you'll be...well...not friends but not enemies either...which is good...considering what she did to that other cat." He thought to himself. He gave a snort of laughter then laid his head back down to rest. He remembered the first time he ever met Woodstripes, she almost clawed his ears off because he caught a mouse from right under her nose. They were friends now, and he was glad of her company. He needed someone to talk to about things.

Woodstripes smiled to herself. Yes, she was an interesting cat, almost unbearable at times. She was glad Badgerface understood, and same with her friend, Hollowbranch.
Moonlight filtered into the warriors den. Woodstripes's purple eyes caught the moonlight, making her eyes sparkle. Foxheart was an interesting cat. She's met toms who could deal with her beauty, but he reacted a little differently. It was unsettling. Thinking about it, this cat irritated her. She unsheathed her claws and started to shred some bedding under paw. Sighing, she got up, circled once, and tried to settle down again.
Woodstripes soon realized that she wouldn't be able to sleep tonight. So, she tried to strike up a conversation with other cats around her, particularly her friends Badgerface and Hollowbranch.
"I just can't sleep tonight," she meowed to start,"I don't know what it is. I've tried grooming, shifting my postiion, but nothing seems to work. I don't know what's bothering me. Maybe the other clan's hostility?" Woodstripes shrugged, and started to groom herself once more.

"Have you tried thinking of how overlypowering your beauty is Woodstripes?" He gave a "merrow" of laughter as Woodstripes swiped at him with a paw. "I'm just saying! Have you tried laying outside the nursery? The milk-scent and the kit's scent always make me tired. Or maybe even ask the medicine cat for some thyme or poppy seeds?" Badgerface suggested.

Woodstripes's purple eyes sparkled with humor at her friend's comment. She flexed her claws for emphasis.

"That's a good idea," she meowed. "I'll try the poppy seed. Sometimes kits wake up in the middle of the night, and they make those annoying whining sounds." She didn't hate kits, but sometimes they got on her nerves. Woodstripes got up once more, stretched, and yawned.

She started to go out the den, then meowed,"Hollowbranch, want to come with me?" She yawned once more, and continued,"I understand if you don't want to. But you've been working hard lately, maybe it'd be a good idea for you too."

Hollowbranch lifted her sleepy head to look straight into Woodstripes violet eyes.
She had almost been asleep when her friend had asked her to come with her to the medicine den. She was about to snap and say no, but decided it wasn't worth her time. "Fine. Let's go." she muttered, hauling herself up.

Badgerface settled himself down for some well deserved rest. He would be on the dawn patrol tomorrow and he didn't want to wake up late! He closed his eyes and thought about today's happenings. "Woodstripes is very pretty." he mumbled to himself. He didn't see why Foxheart didn't like her, she was pretty, smart, and a great warrior. He finally fell asleep when the moon light touched his face.

Woodstripes made her way quietly across the camp clearing. Silver moonlight lit the way as she padded across the camp. She soon made her way to the medicine cat den. She blinked at Hollowbranch, then inspected the inside of the medicine den. Empty.

"Nobody's home," she meowed. "the medicine cat must be out collecting herbs." Without hesitating, Woodstripes strode inside, and got herself a poppyseed. She chewed it, and went back out. Almost instantly, she felt tired. With a giant yawn, she meowed,"Alright, let's get back. Thanks for coming." She started to make her way back, not waiting for Hollowbranch. She needed rest now.

Peering inside, she found her nest next to Badgerface. Without thinking twice, she flopped down closer to him then she was originally. with one more luxurious stretch, she settled down, and drifted into a silent sleep.

Badgerface felt a nudge beside him, then noticed the bright light. It was Foxheart waking him for the dawn patrol. "ugh, another patrol with Foxheart?" he complained in his head. Badgerface looked over and found Woodstripes curled into a ball right next to him. She was closer than before, of course Badgerface didn't mind. He got up from his nest and shook the moss from his pelt. He touched his pink nose to the tip of Woodstripes ear and left the den for the patrol.

Sunlight filtered in to the warriors den, and caused Woodstripes to blink her eyes open. She stretched, and padded outside, awaiting her deputy's orders. Time had passed since Badgerface had gone out on the patrol. Hollowbranch was gone as well. Woodstripes shrugged, and started to eat a mouse.

Silenstar had been watching his warriors leave and arrive. Woodstripes had overslept, and hadn't done anything for the clan. He would not tolerate this any longer.
"Woodstripes!" he meowed, a growl creeping into his voice. He was annoyed with the brown she-cat. "What have you done all morning?"
"I just woke up, and I'm eating this mouse," Woodstripes replied, then continued,"I'm sorry, Silentstar," her piercing purple gaze turned soft, and she looked innocent.
Silentstar sighed, then meowed,"Don't let it happen again. When more warriors return, I want to call a meeting." The dull orane tom had big plans, involving Frostclan.

Badgerface and the rest of the patrol entered the camp. Silentstar had just called for a meeting. He found Woodstripes and Hollowbranch sitting near the base of the leaders den. He didn't know what it was about but he had a feeling, and he wasn't excited about it.

Silenstar stood on top of his den, to make himself seen.[/center[

"Cats of Ivyclan!" he started. "Last night at the gathering, many of you probably have noticed the hostility between IvyClan and FrostClan. It turns out that Seastar has called me out for a challenge. We must answer it, but not by tooth or claw. Rather, we will starve them out!" He saw the confused faces of the cats around him.

"I'm sure you're all confused. I don't blame you. However, I've thought of a plan that will poison their main water supply, wherever that may be. Which is why I need a patrol of cats to go throughout FrostClan territory, undetected, and find their main water supply. This first part will be executed almost immediately. I want Woodstripes, Hollowbranch, and Badgerface to go. If you encounter any warriors of FrostClan, come back immediately. Prepare now, then go!"

Silenstar finished his speech, then padded down from the rock. The plan was fairly simple, and easily executed. He hoped his warriors approved.

Woodstripes shrugged, then meowed,"Well done Silenstar. Nice plan." She looked at the other two cats, then meowed,"Ready to go?" She stretched, and flexed her claws. "Whenever you all are, we'll leave!"
