[glow=blue,2,300]EVENINGPAW[/glow] .:The Forest Calls Me, And I Answer It in Song:. She was drowning in her own fear, yet not a fear of dieing, but for the fact that she didn't apologize. Wounded to the heart with the painful stab of death at her side, she could do nothing but moan. Her head her, her body ached, and she was freezing cold. Yet with all that, it could not come close to the remorse she was feeling for her friend. A friend she had bit at, and scraped and bruised until she lost her temper. She had a right to loose her temper, she reflected, I was being a nuisance. She had used Hazelpaw for a punching bag for too long, and then she had the nerve to snap at her when Hazelpaw had had enough! What was wrong with her? To loose such precious friendship? No, she would never forgive herself for that. She closed her eyes, laying on the floor with exhaustion, unable to rise. She was so sick, greencough was not something she should fool with. Greencough! What if Hazelpaw had it? She had had enough of this nonsense! She was going to find Hazelpaw and apologize at once! She tried standing and slid to the floor again. A shadow flitted across her body, and then came to lay on her. Death. Take me away, from the sin and sorrow, the world would be better without me. Singing through the night- a useless task, without a friend to abide by. No! Let me go! You do well along without me. I face the danger myself -I and make a simple task so complicated~ No, let me go, let me go. I am ready to face the doors of death. The song raced through her mind, as she bleary-eyed looked up into the eyes of Hazelpaw. Hazelpaw? No! Hazelpaw couldn't be dead! No, no, this was her fate not Hazelpaw's! "Eveningpaw, Eveningpaw," Hazelpaw seemed to be beckoning her. Come, come."You're not supposed to be dead...," she muttered. "Eveningpaw, Eveningpaw!" What? I'm coming I guess..."Eveningpaw!" Hazelpaw shrieked in her ear, making her want to jump ten feet into the air. "Eveningpaw, I'm sorry I got us into this mess. But I'm going to get us out. Wake up, Eveningpaw. We have to get back to camp." Camp? Camp! She wasn't dead! "Hazelpaw!" she coughed out feebly, "You came!"

Hazelpaw was quite sure her friend was dead until a small gasp escaped Eveningpaw's lips. "Hazelpaw! You came!"
"I came," Hazelpaw replied, her legs trembling with sheer relief. Her friend was alive! The blue-gray apprentice no longer paid attention to the pain in her chest, nor the cold feeling rippling down her spine like disturbed water. All that mattered was that both of them were alive, and that their friendship would be repaired.
But before she celebrated, Hazelpaw decided that they needed to return to camp. An obvious fact, but her head was too fuzzy to think very clearly. She forced her eyes away from her dear friend, then turned to survey the landscape outside the cave. The rain had eased to a slight drizzle, but that was enough to worsen their conditions. But if they stayed in here all night...Hazelpaw shook her head, dismissing the thought. Wasting away in a cave was the last fate she wanted, especially before she became a warrior. Oh, the clan would find them. But it would most likely be too late.
Deciding to turn to Eveningpaw for counsel, Hazelpaw laid beside her. The warmth of the two she-cats' bodies put together was a relief compared to the chill Hazelpaw had been experiencing, but she knew it wasn't enough. Closing her wide blue eyes, Hazelpaw spoke. "What should we do, Eveningpaw? If we just sit here, things will only get worse. But if we try to get back to camp...." Hazelpaw swallowed, her ears flattening against her skull with fear of losing her friend. "One of us won't make it. And I'm afraid it will be you."

[glow=blue,2,300]EVENINGPAW[/glow] .:The Forest Calls Me, And I Answer It in Song:. Eveningsong stared at her friend. Relief washed over her as she knew that Hazelpaw had forgiven her. It was like she had let out her breath, a breath that she had held in since they had walked away from one another. "What should we do, Eveningpaw? If we just sit here, things will only get worse. But if we try to get back to camp...." Hazelpaw gulped, her eyes wide with fear, just staring at her. "One of us won't make it. And I'm afraid it will be you." Eveningpaw stared at her friend and let out a rusty meow. "Ah, Hazelpaw, I'm fine," -cough-, "I'm just as sick as you are so don't worry, I can make it back! What do you think I am, some weak kit?" she teased, but inside, she wasn't sure if she could do it, it would be a miracle. She slowly stood, her back legs wobbly. StarClan, help me! she pleaded silently. She walked a few steps haltingly and looked outside of the cave. She saw a cat before her, the silver-white pelt glowing in the moonlight. She blinked her eyes and it was gone. "Come on!" she meowed, "You aren't going to make me do this by myself are you?" ____________________ Sorry i got lazy

Hazelpaw
Hazelpaw shifted uncomfortably as Eveningpaw replied, her voice as dry and cracked as an elder's. "Ah, Hazelpaw, I'm fine," -here she coughed, making Hazelpaw wince-, "I'm just as sick as you are so don't worry, I can make it back! What do you think I am, some weak kit?" Hazelpaw could here the teasing tone to her words, but that didn't make her worry any less.
"Come on!" Eveningpaw meowed, getting to her paws with an almost painful grimance. Hazelpaw forced herself to stay put - she didn't want to offend her friend - and ground her teeth as Eveningpaw went on. "You aren't going to make me do this by myself are you?"
"Fat chance," Hazelpaw hissed, padding forward to stand beside her friend. After taking a deep breath and one last glance behind her, Hazelpaw nodded. "Let's go." A few steps later and they were off.

Eveningpaw -Call to the forest of liberty-
It was a long hard journey, she felt like it was already Leaf-bare, though sweat and presperation poured down her face -she had to hand it to Hazelpaw, she had helped her every step of the way, never leaving her side; not even leaving with a huge pheasent crossed their path. She was a good friend, and one she would never be able to live without.
Dusk was settling, for the second time in a two-days so far sickness, her paws were falling off and her eyes were drooping; a crusty layer of sleepiness coated them, making her seem blind. Dusk. Dusk! What was her sister going to think?
And then her mind was switched to something she thought random -"H-how is..how is W-- Falconpaaaaww?" she slurred. She could kill herself, she forgot Windpaw was in another clan. Well, Falconpaw was okay anyway, she knew her friend took an interest in him. "Well? She asked again, as they arrived into camp.

Hazelpaw
Hazelpaw's paws and shoulders ached with the simple effort of walking. She was bad off, she knew that much, but Hazelpaw refused to give up. It wasn't just her life that was hanging in the balance, but her best friend's as well. The blue-gray she-cat knew that she had to make every step count.
They walked in silence, barely flinching as a pheasant crossed their path. No, not a word passed their lips. Until, that is, they reached camp. Hazelpaw nearly collapsed with relief, but Eveningpaw's voice shattered that thought. "H-how is..how is W-- Falconpaaaaww?" she asked, her voice cracking slightly as she stammered out the question.
Falconpaw? Since when did Eveningpaw care about Falconpaw? Hazelpaw was torn between jealousy and curiosity. Was that what Eveningpaw was really trying to say? She had broken off at the beginning of a name. "W"? She could recall no SnakeClan cats whose names' started with that....Hazelpaw stopped. How could she be suspicious of her friend?
"He's fine," Hazelpaw replied curtly, then lead the both of them into the medicine cat den. Sleep and healing herbs awaited them, and Hazelpaw knew that, very soon, they would be well again.

EVENINGPAW -call to the forest of liberty-
Eveningpaw was curious and shocked by Hazelpaw's reaction, did her "W--" give her away? Or was it her topic. Was Hazelpaw and Falcon fighting as well? She hoped that they weren't, she alwasy thought that they were tight! She gave her friend a lopsided-curious, demented smle, "What's wrong with you and Falcon?" she teased. She hoped that she was going on the right track here.
But then again, maybe she was wrong, like maybe they had the same relationship as she had with Windpaw, and she had just made it akward. They were still apprentices too though, but then again, Hazelpaw would soon have her warrior's ceremony; she guessed that it was natural. She shivered as she thought about if Windpaw started to like her. That would make everything awkward and complicated, figuring that he was IvyClan for one, and that he probably thought of her as a brother --she hoped; but of course he did, now she was being silly, she had enough love stories on her hands.
"Have you ever broken the warrior code, Hazelpaw? Because I'm pretty sure that we just did!"
OCC: she just dissed wind badly! XD

Hazelpaw
"What's wrong with you and Falcon?"
Hazelpaw 's hasty stride slowed to a halt as Eveningpaw's light, teasing tone reached her ears. What was wrong with her and Falconpaw? They hadn't been talking much lately, a strange contrast with their usual routine. Were they growing distant from each other? Hazelpaw remembered her promise to Falcon with a pang. Would they be driven to break their vow? Hazelpaw dismissed the thought with a flick of her plumy tail. Who was she to make these assumptions? Eveningpaw was just basing her comment on Hazelpaw's reaction, nothing more.
Hazelpaw turned her head slightly, grinning at her friend. At least Eveningpaw's jibe had suggested that the apprentice's old spunk was returning. It was a good thing, Hazelpaw reflected; she was getting better by the minute. Perhaps their sickness wasn't as bad as it seemed. "Nothing," she finally replied, her voice ringing with what she hoped was certainty. "and it's going to stay that way."

EVENINGPAW
-More Love?!-
She grinned at her friend's confidident attitude. It was no mystery on what Hazelpaw would be doing in the future. She just hoped that her friend would be happy. She was suddenly selfconcious. What was Falconpaw like? Would he be good enough for a friend like hers? Hazelpaw only deserved the best! No way! She would not allow it if he was a scum like the one who was banished. Her eyes went hollow. She would rip that tom to threads if he were to be mean to Hazelpaw. Who did he think he was? There were only apprentices still! She didn't care if Hazelpaw was one step from 'paw' to whatever it was, she wouldn't let her friend fall inlove that fast! First she had to have a few words with this so-called-tom that claimed her friend's heart!
No way would she loose her friend that fast!
Now...as she regained her train of thought..who was Falconpaw again?
End Thread.
