RACCOONSTAR
Raccoonstar sat in the heart of StoneClan, at the top of SilverLedge. Ah, what a mess his life was! He was supposed to be acting like his younger self, Raccoontail, but it was so hard. He was also supposed to keep the Clan full of song, but he never knew the right words. He was supposed to be with Moonfire, but she was still deciding. And on top of that, there might be an upcoming war! "My life is a mess. Won't you help me, StarClan?" he shouted to the stars. There was no reply. He tried to sing a song with his river-like voice to calm himself.
"The moon shines down.
Upon the lonely light-furred cat.
It turns his blond fur brown.
He's ready for combat.
The warrior he fights for love.
And anything else he can find.
He fights with power and what he thinks of.
What should never have been in his mind.
But when he returns he is lonelier than ever before...
Because power wasn't what he was looking for.
The warrior is brave, he fights on his command.
He fights for his power, and fights for his land.
But really it isn't what he's looking for.
He wants love, and nothing more.
I want love and nothing more..."
Raccoonstar ended the song, mistakingly saying "I want love and nothing more," but he meant it inside, and so his mind said it for him. Raccoonstar would never want power, territory, anything, as long as he could love and be loved. It was his true dream. Moonfire...may not be his. He realized this with a start. And if she could not be his...than he would have to find someone else. But who could replace his only love?
