Seastar Seastar clawed at the moss covering the bottom of her den. She sent an apprentice to fetch Fallinggaze. Better to have this conversation while she was being friendly. She thought. Fallinggaze entered her den. Kind of shy, but confident. |

Seastar "Yes." Seastar replied. She flicked her tail to show that Fallinggaze was welcome to sit. " Your kits...are almost at the age to become apprentices. They have a few more days left. And being with them today made me realize that they are FrostClan's future. And a bright future at that." Seastar took a bite from a mouse, chewed it, swallowed, then continued. "What I'm trying to get at is, Tomkit, Curiouskit, and Darlingkit can't keep their names. We can't name them like we do our other kits. But we can change them at their apprenticeship ceremonies. With your consent, I would like for us to agree on their names. And..." She paused. Hoping to get Fallinggaze excited for her kits. "I would like to have Curiouskit as my apprentice." she said. She waited hopefully. And she hoped that Fallinggaze wouldn't take any of this offensively. |

After a long pause of thought, FallingGaze replied, "Yes, I agree with all of this. CuriousKit will be excited for you to be her mentor, she is looking for a wonderful future that you will give her. As for the names, I also agree to change them. I was thinking of BraveKit for TomKit. What do you think?" asked FallingGaze. She looked into Seastar's eyes which seemed to glow in the light.

"Hmm.." Seastar sighed. Let's go with how they look first." Seastar thought. "How about...Firekit for Tomkit, Sunkit for Darlingkit, and..." Seastar would have to think hard for Curiouskit. She would use both her personality and her look for her name. "How about....Dewkit for Curiouskit?" She asked. She liked those names and would be made Firelight, Sunfall and Dewshine. She wouldn't tell anyone these names. She would want for both the mother and kits to be surprised for their warrior ceremony.
"If these names are okay with you I can make them apprentices today." she suggested.

Seastar Seastar purred at her excited warrior. "Now we need mentors. I will be Dewkit's mentor, Spottedwing is young, but she will be a excellent mentor. I think she should have Sunkit, and now we need someone for Firekit. Hmm..." Seastar pondered on the thought. Who would be good? |

Seastar "Oh! It looks as if it is! Come on in Ashtail." She greeted. "We were just talking about you. We hoped that you would train one of our new apprentices." Even though she asked, she new why he was in her den. He wanted to be an elder. His eyesight wasn't the best anymore and he was older. But he would still make a great mentor. Look at how Fallinggaze turned out! |

"Well, maybe I could do just one more... My eyesight is still pretty good, but, I might have to stop in the middle if I needed to, would that be alright Sea?" (Omg, that would sound like Chief Wiggum!)
FallingGaze and Ashtail both looked Seastar, waiting for an answer.

Seastar Seastar pretended not to hear the nickname that Ashtail had called her. "Of course it's alright. I will set things up straight away." She flicked her tail for them to go. Seastar would take a nap. (Mostly to let Fallinggaze get her kits ready.) And when she woke, they would have three new apprentices to enroll. |

"Okay, see you at the ceremony then!" called Fallinggaze to Seastar.
Meanwhile, at the Nursery, she was licking her kits to death. Whenever they called the others their old names, Fallinggaze itched to tell them their apprentice names, though she couldn't tell them yet.
