]Ratbait doesn’t let anyone get too close to him, and his cock-sure attitude is off-setting. He’s very prideful, but not vain. He’ll flirt, but if a cat shows real interest in him he’ll quickly blow her off. Unlike his sister, he doesn’t take advice well and gets defensive quickly. He hates his father, and most cats are pretty sure it was he who took his father’s whole ear off.

Ratbait is unfortunately smaller than most other toms, something he can be quite sore about. His dark grey fur and light tan markings are almost identical to his father’s, another sore topic. Otherwise, he’s handsome and dashing. He is strong, and a fast warrior.

Kithood – Ratkit and his sister were brought to CloudClan a moon after they had been born. Taintedwing had admitted to mating with a kittypet, and she had had five kits. Taintedwing had brought Stormkit and Ratkit to CloudClan because he thought they would become the best warriors out of the litter. In the beginning, Stormkit and Ratkit were both kind, polite kits. However, no queen was quite willing to take the two in officially. Taintedwing had a very bad reputation as a flirt and a jerk. The siblings progressively became more self-reliant as they were alienated from the other kits and abused by their father’s anger.
Apprenticeship – Ratpaw was not a great apprentice like his sister. He had a hard time admitting to being wrong, due to his father. He constantly told Ratpaw and Stormpaw that they were useless and stupid, and that they’d never amount to anything. It hurt Ratpaw more than it did his sister because he really wanted to impress his father. Right before the two apprentices became warriors, they went with their father into the forest. Taintedwing had turned on the apprentices, claiming they were too weak for clan life and Jadestar wouldn’t keep them from being warriors like Taintedwing had asked, so he decided to kill them. Ratpaw and Stormpaw fought back viciously, the year of torture finally come down to the final moment. The siblings overpowered their father, and thought they had dealt a fatal blow. The apprentices returned to camp several hours later, battered and bleeding. Taintedwing returned two days later, his whole left ear missing and a large gash down his shoulder still raw. Ratpaw was speechless; he had been so sure he had killed the older warrior. He wanted to kill him for real, but his sister thought it was a bad idea.
Warrior – Ratbait has become completely independent of the clan. Both physically and mentally, all Ratbait needs is himself. He only eats food he’s caught himself, and only goes to the medicine cat if he’s in dire need. Stormhunter is their when he needs someone to talk to and even when he doesn’t. The only two things keeping Ratbait in CloudClan is his sister and his love for Clan life. While he isn’t a big part of it, he is constantly proving himself worthy, thanks to his horrid father.
