Frostkit A cool breeze blew across camp, and ruffled Frostkit's fur. With that breeze, it carried the scents of the forest filled with ivy, and many other unknown scents. A rush of adrenaline shot through Frostkit. She wiggled her rump, and sprang up with a burst of joy. She scampered across the clearing, dancing and trotting to music that only she could hear. This waltz continued until she reached the Clan entrance. Her dance was then rudely interrupted by Silentstar's call. She stopped short, her fur standing up on end from fear.
She realized that this pose was extremely stupid looking, so she quickly sat down, and began to groom her fur. Inside, she was raging. How dare Silentstar interrupt her oh so important day! And what's worse, he made her look like a fool. Her ice blue eyes narrowed into angry slits as she continued her wash.
As soon as Frostkit was done, she got up and went to go sit by her mother. When she grew close, she suddenly stopped her march. Her pride had welled up inside, and she knew she couldn't return to her mother in such an undignified manner. She needed to redeem herself! But how? Frostkit wasn't about to go take out an enemy Clan member, or something heroic in that manner. Besides, fighting was icky, and she wrinkled her nose at the thought.
Frostkit's head turned towards the camp entrance. Of course! Her plan was perfect! She would hunt for the Clan! She would return to her mother's side with a meal in paw. That would surely silence any poor remarks of her previous display of fear.
She looked back at her mother, who was clearly talking and distracted. Frostkit told herself she wouldn't be long, and she'd be back before her mother or father missed her. With that, she slipped out, unaware of the fact that her siblings might have seen her.

Shadowkit Shadowkit watched as his sister, Frostkit, bounded out of the nursery trying to get out of the camp before Silentstar had yowled at her. She sat down and started to groom herself. Little sissy. After her "grooming session" she marched back to her mother with a look of determination. He decided that he would ask her to go out of the camp with him. She didn't take to kindly to adventure much, unlike him, but she looked desperate to get out so he would offer her an escape. "Frostkit!" He yowled to her. She jumped but tried to hide it. He got closer to her ear and started to whisper, "I gotta get out of here. We're one moon old and we still haven't been out of this boring camp. So! Are you in or out?" He gave her a wry smile. She couldn't resist his bait.

Pearlkit Pearlkit looked up at her brother, Shadowkit, as he proposed a ridiculous idea. One moon old was hardly old at all, and Pearlkit wasn't eager to leave her mother's side. Then again, she wouldn't be left out if Shadowkit and Frostkit went on a journey without her. She nodded, and sprang up beside her brother. She was still taller then him, but her mother insisted that soon Shadowkit would grow bigger then Pearlkit. However, Pearlkit didn't think either of them would grow taller then their middle sister, Frostkit. To show off, Pearlkit dashed ahead of Shadowkit, in an effort to catch up with her rambunctious sister. She looked around at her brother, to see if he would follow.

Frostkit Frostkit narrowed his eyes at his slow brother. what else where she would be going? "Of course I'm going out!" she hissed, her tail tip twitching. "And i'm not coming back without prey! You two may join me, but stay out of my way!" She flicked her ears with annoyance, and trotted forward, not looking to see if her siblings followed.
Frostkit focused her attention forward at the scampering in the undergrowth. She angled her ears accordingly, and tracked the sound. With a sniff in the air, she determined that the foreign critter was a mouse. She wiggled her rump, and sprang forward. She couldn't help herself, and she let out a mewl of joy. The mouse scampered off, alerted by the sound.
"Mouse dung!" Frostkit hissed. "I missed!"

Pearlkit Pearlkit narrowed her eyes at her stubborn sister, bu followed her anyways. She watched her sister try to catch a mouse, but the mouse scampered off before Frostkit even had a chance. "I don't think that's how to catch a mouse." Pearlkit teased. However, her attention had gone from her sister's failed attempt to something moving in the bushes. Despite her better judgment, she went to see what was making such a racket. Hoping it wasn't something dangerous, Pearlkit used her paw and pushed back the dense ivy. These odd creatures that were walking on their hind legs where poking a large branch that seemed to have some sort of odd disease. Red was shooting up from it, and as a protection the creatures had put a ring of stones around it. The creatures only had fur on their heads, but most of them had it cut short. They were tall and scary, and Pearlkit froze in horror.

Shadowkit Frostkit ran ahead of her siblings in an attempt to show her "leadership". "Looks like we have to follow Miss Priss." He laughed to his younger sister, Pearlkit. He like to be with her more than Frostkit but he loved both equally. He just preferred to be with someone who would listen and not interject her thoughts and outrageous opinions. They followed her out the camp when she tried to catch a mouse and failed shortly after. Pearlkit wandered off a little ways and Shadowkit watched her move a clump of ivy from her view and she locked up. Standing still as if she were being approached by a badger. "Pearlkit, what is it?" He hissed behind her then looked through the gap. Tall, two legged things walked around with sticks. How ugly they were! They only had fur on top their heads, waved their paws around a small red thing protected with a ring of stones, and saw two of them sitting in a seat leaning to one side with a shiny thing that held a liquid in one of each's hand. They fell and made a loud clatter. Shadowkit's ears lay flat as the ones around the red thing made a grunting sound repeatedly. The two on the ground got up from their spots and threw their objects into the red thing that exploded into tongues of red stuff that heat swelled from. They all ran from the exploding thing and grunted into the river close by where they began to swim. "Let's go check it out!" Shadowkit declared as he took a tentative step forward.

Frostkit Frostkit grunted her disapproval of her sister's teasing. She straightened up, and looked her squarely in the eyes. "I realize that's not the proper technique!" she hissed. "But, I haven't been taught either!" She rolled her eyes as her sister turned away to go look at something. "She's so easily distracted!" Frostkit thought to herself. "How simple-minded!"
Frostkit followed her small sister into the underbrush, followed by her brother, Shadowkit. They had both gasped at the sight in front of them. She shoved them out of the way to get a glance. Her ice blue eyes widened in horror at the disgusting creatures that stood before her.
These creatures made awkward grunting noises as they walked around on their disgusting dangling limbs. These creatures were also, apparently, stupid, because they walked around only on their hind legs. Their front legs contained the ugliest paws she could ever imagine. However, the most disgusting thing about these horrible fiends was their lack of fur. The only fur on them was located on their oddly shaped heads.
Frostkit was too caught up in awe to hear her siblings' exchange. She caught the end bit from Shadowkit, as he mewed,"Let's go check it out!"
"Are you fox-raving mad?!" Frostkit hissed. "We need to get out of here! Any creature that ugly is only going to bring trouble!" As she turned to leave, a bright flickering thing caught her eye. She paused for a moment to study the odd element before her. It was bright orange, with tongues of yellow mixed in between. It looked like a bunch of autumn leaves mixed together so fast, it blurred into this hot shape. "What's that?" she asked her siblings, unable to contain her curiosity.

Shadowkit "Are you fox-raving mad?!" His sister, Frostkit, screeched at him. "We need to get out of here-" Shadowkit ignored the rest of his no-fun-loving sister until she said the words he was waiting for her to say. "What's that?" Her curiosity seemed to be oozing from her. When Frostkit wasn't such a pinched-up little prissy she-cat she could be fun. She just had to let go of her fear of being a nuisance and looking like a total kit which she was anyways. "I think it keeps them warm..." Shadowkit wondered out loud. He continued to take a few steps forward till he almost reached the ring of stone. When, out of nowhere, the four big ugly two legged things came running from the water after them. A look of dread spread across Shadowkit's face, ears flat and tail flicking rapidly. "RUN!" He shouted. In between their legs, swerving from their huge paw's grasp, he ran forward. Trying to keep them away from his sisters. "For StarClan's sake run!" He yowled. Eventually he got close to the IvyClan border so he risked it and ran into his forest. They couldn't follow, the ivy was to thick. "Frostkit? Pearlkit?" He asked. Nowhere. "Frostkit! Pearlkit!" He yowled over and over. He peeked out from the dense ivy and found the two legged things chasing his sisters. No... One got a hold of both of them. Please get out of there!

Frostkit Frostkit couldn’t make heads or tails of the situation she was in. Her two siblings were with her in one moment, and the next, gone before her eyes! All she could work out was the sense to run fast. Run fast, and away from the situation.
She hurled herself forward in pure panic, right into the hands of a Twoleg. The massive creature grunted in triumph as its huge fleshy paw yanked Frostkit up by her tail. She squealed in pure pain,”StarClan, HELP ME!”
A dark mass hurled itself forward, slicing open the meaty paw around Frostkit’s tail. Frostkit dropped, landing on her paw with a sickening crunched. She yelped in pain, collapsing. The dark mass’s bright green eyes glowed for a moment in Frostkit’s face. “StarClan?!” she murmured as she was hoisted up by the scruff. The tom smelled different, not like IvyClan whatsoever. She registered this, and they were off through the woods running at top speed from the yowling Twolegs.
Frostkit was bounced and bumped around, her teeth rattling as the undergrowth went blurring around her. She breathed shallow rapid breaths as her twisted paw burned. Finally, they came to a stop. The strange tom put her down, his green eyes blazing urgently.
“Are you alright?” the dark tom asked. Frostkit studied the tom for a moment. He was an unusual shade of brown, almost red-purple. The most striking trait about the cat was his strange green eyes, which almost seem to glow.
Frostkit melwed pitifully, and replied, “My paw. It hurts!” She held it up for his inspection. Her pupils were tight slits out of fear and pain, and her fur stood up on end. Bracken “How did I get mixed up with this?!” Bracken thought to himself as he inspected the tiny kit’s paw. “I had just been minding my own business, just passing through. What possessed me to help this poor tiny scrap? She has nothing to do with me!” Bracken licked the paw gently, and he meowed to the tiny white kit, “It’s twisted, dear. It’ll be fine soon, but you’ll need time to rest.”
Bracken turned his head away, to listen for any other signs of other cats that might have been tangled up in that scrap. Bracken knew why he had helped the kit. He couldn’t stand by and let any cat be handled by the Twolegs. They were evil creatures, and the reason behind his irregular pelt.
His piercing green gaze turned back to the kit. “Are there others?” he asked. “What’s your name?” There were a million other questions he’d like to ask the kit, but he knew he had to ask them slowly. They mind of the young was easily distracted.
“It’s Frostkit, and yeah! Of course there were!” Frostkit replied, looking cross. “I was hunting with my siblings, to prove to the Clan that I wasn’t worthless, and they had no reason to laugh at me! But, it turned out bad, didn’t it? Oh StarClan, I’m going to be in trouble!” Bracken’s ears flicked backwards. He didn’t like the kit’s tone. Even though she was considerably smaller and younger, she sounded very bossy. The kit had mentioned a Clan?... What was that?
“Clan?” Bracken ventured, and was soon met by a reprimand. “No duh!” she sneered. “Where else would a cat be from around this forest? I know there are other Clans, but you don’t smell like a Clan at all. You smell like…like…” she trailed off in thought, trying to find the word.
“A rogue?” Bracken offered. Frostkit narrowed her eyes, being defeated, and she replied slowly, “Yes, a rogue.” Her eyes suddenly lit up. “Which means that you’re trespassing!” she meowed smugly.
Bracken’s green eyes widened in surprise. Was this kit serious? IT didn’t surprise him, really. Her posture was just oozing with drama queen. “I just saved your life!” He meowed sharply. “I’d watch what you say. Be grateful, I could’ve left you alone back there!” That was the key word: alone. Cats like Frostkit wouldn’t be able to live without it. The tom felt a surge of satisfaction in defeating the kit at her own game, and delighted as her smug expression molded into the expected reproachful and humbled expression.
Bracken shook himself, and meowed, “No matter, you said there were others? Where are they?” Frostkit’s eyes widened, and she melwed, “I don’t know!” Bracken sighed, feeling pity for the kit. “Alright,” he replied. “You said a Clan? Meaning there are others? Can you lead the way to their base or camp, so we can get help in searching for them?” The kit paused, unsure of letting him know of this information. “Alright,” she replied slowly. Bracken picked her up, and she led the way to camp.
The tom arrived to the camp, and placed Frostkit down. He could hear the worried murmers of what seemed to be the father and mother. He called out, “Excuse me, I don’t mean to intrude, but I have found a kit claiming to be Frostkit, and member to this Clan?” A brown tortoiseshell ran towards the entrance. “Frostkit!” she meowed with relief, and showered the kit with licks. “You’re safe!” she meowed with relief. Her purple eyes shifted up to Bracken’s green ones, gratitude shining. Bracken shook his head, and meowed, “There’s no need for thanks at the moment. There are still others out there.” Woodstripes nodded, and meowed, “Yes, of course!” Silentstar “What’s going on?!” Silentstar snarled, followed by Hollowbranch. He was in the middle of explaining his brilliant scheme to Hollowbranch, and he was interrupted by commotion outside. He was met by the sight of a worried queen with a stranger in his Clan. “Woodstripes!” he snarled. “What is this intruder doing here?!”
“No, no, it’s alright!” Frostkit mewed. “He saved me!” Silentstar’s ice cold eyes widened, and he meowed, “Saved you?”
“I don’t mean to intrude,” the stranger meowed with a quiet certainty. “But, I found this kit being abducted by Twolegs.” Silentstar readied himself to start rebuking Frostkit, but he was cut off by the strange tom. “There’s no time for punishments! Other lives are at stake!” he meowed. Silentstar’s fury boiled up inside him, but he found reason in the tom’s statement. Silentstar settled with a frosty stare, and he meowed, “Very well. Since you are so interested in these lives, go out to find them. Hollowbranch will accompany you.” He flicked his tail as a signal for Hollowbranch to follow the stranger as he started to head out of camp. His gaze turned to Badgerface and Woodstripes, and he grunted, "See to it the kit has been properly taken care of. Makes sure she doesn't have any injuries. ooc;; SORRY FOR THE LONG POST D: I'm introducing a character, so yeah, it's gonna be long.

Pearlkit Pearlkit watched in horror as Frostkit and Shadowkit went forward to explore the red thing. She knew this was a very, very bad idea. She took a step forward, to follow them, but then the creatures came running over awkwardly on their legs. Pearlkit cowered in terror where she was as Frostkit came running towards her. One of the creatures picked her up with its disgusting paw, and she squealed in terror. For a moment she couldn’t see, but then when she could again she saw Frostkit in the jaws of some other cat and Shadowkit dashing off into the forest. Pearlkit squirmed, and bit the paw as hard as she could. The creature screamed but didn’t let go of her. Terror seized Pearlkit. She was never going to see her family again! The creature gave her to another one of the creatures, and it held her close to its chest. It said something in what seemed like a soothing voice, and pet her head. Pearlkit grimaced, its paw feeling like rough stone. ”Put me down!” Pearlkit shouted as loudly as possible.
Hollowbranch
Hollowbranch listened carefully as Silentstar went over the details. Just as he was about to finish, some commotion went on outside. A stranger and Frostkit where in the middle of camp, and talking. Apparently, this stranger had saved Frostkit from twolegs. What was Frostkit doing around two legs? Apparently he had left the other two kits behind. Idiot. Hollowbranch didn’t like this newcomer, and when Silentstar ordered her to go with him to find the other two, she was not pleased. She considered defying him, but thought better of it and lead the way out of the camp. The newcomer was a weird looking cat. For a short while they went in silence, only occasionally calling Shadowkit’s and Pearlkit’s names. Suddenly, Hollowbranch turned on the new comer, once she knew they were quiet alone. “I don’t know who you are, or what you’re trying to get at. I can’t believe Silentstar didn’t kill you on the spot, but that is his choice and not mine. Why you would save a kit is beyond me, but do know that if you ever try to hurt anyone in this clan, I will slit you’re throat. So watch yourself.” She turned around again, and could smell the distinctly disgusting scent of twolegs. They were close! [/blockquote]

Bracken Bracken knew this explosion was coming. The way she walked and how ruffled her fur was suggested as such. Her eyes were the biggest give away for Bracken. He sighed in relief when the explosion did come.
His piercing green gaze turned towards the black she-cat. "So, that is his name. Silentstar. He's a bully, isn't he?" Bracken let a pause in, then continued. "I've seen his kind before. The only difference is he's better at hiding his emotions. A tough cat to read." Bracken pricked his ears, knowing the kits were close, along with the Twolegs. But, he wanted to stall for a moment in conversation. He needed this cat to like him. How else would he learn of the Clan and its ways?
Bracken checked his posture mentally: relaxed, cool walk with purpose. Unruffled pelt. His ears were at an attentive level, as to not portray lax or cockiness.
"Would you let a kit die, not knowing anything of its past, only knowing it was in a predicament?" he meowed carefully, slowing his pace and glancing around in the direction of the Twolegs. He finally let his gaze linger in Hollowbranch's for a moment, then looked beyond. This was going to be a tough case, Bracken thought to himself. She-cats were a little harder to read, especially in this mood.

Hollowbranch The new comers reply almost made Hollowbranch stop in her tracks. Silentstar was a bully, but Hollowbranch didn’t really have a choice on whether to follow him or not. He was her leader, and the only way to keep him from using his power would be to kill him, and Hollowbranch wouldn’t be doing that. ‘Wouldn’t you save a kit in distress?” the stranger asked. “Of course. It’s my job, my duty. I’d save any IvyClan kit; rather, I’d save any kit no matter what. Why not?” Hollowbranch took a deep breath for a moment, and calmed herself. Why wouldn’t he save a kit? “I guess it’s because you’re not part of the clans. We’ve always been taught that stranger are dangerous and bad and to never be trusted.”

Bracken "Your reaction tells me you agree. Silentstar is a bully. Now, he must be the leader of this said Clan. Must you follow him?" Bracken continued on quietly for a moment. There! more about these "clans" that this group of cats call themselves. Bracken knew he needed to find out more. This knowledge would be useful to him in the future.
"Pity," he meowed slowly, "I don't think of myself as a threat to your Clan, nor was I trying to be. That wouldn't make sense for me to save that kit, then, would it?" Bracken padded a little more calmly, easing the lessening tension between the two cats.

LEOPARDKIT (I'm gonna insert myself in here. Hope no one minds. I don't see "blahblahblah only" so I figure that I can. ^^")
Leopardkit was sleeping soundly in the nursery when a ruckus outside woke her up. She groggily got up to see a stranger outside. He smelled...off. Not a Clan smell. She slowly padded up to the strange cat, eying him curiously rather than nervously. He seemed...strong. As if something in the past had made him so. He had violet spots all over him, probably what caused his troubles. Clearly he had overcome these troubles, hence his strong personality. She sat beside this cat, looking not at him, but at Silentstar for believing that he was a threat. It was a show of trust that Leopardkit only used with her adopted sister, Eclipsekit. She finally looked at him, searching for something...off about him. Something that outweighed his strength. Something...he liked to hide. She stared intensely into his eyes, searching for the badness in him that outweighed the good. She couldn't find it, and ceased her staring. For that reason, anyways.
She liked his eyes. Bright green...such a good color. It clashed with her own violet eyes. Her eyes were almost the same color as the spots on his pelt, and she felt closer to the unknown tom because of it. Ha, she didn't even know his name, and already she liked him. What a queer kit she was. She stared back at Silentstar's cold gaze. "This cat means no harm to IvyClan." Leopardkit said flatly in her too-low-for-a-kit voice. "I assume that he just was padding around, so to speak, and found Frostkit," she gestured to Frostkit, eyes uncaring almost, "In trouble. Clearly a cat who wants to save a random kit in distress is not a threat. Am I not correct in this assumption? Oh, excuse me, but I did not seem to catch your name." she glanced at the unknown rogue, "Mine is Leopardkit."
Her troubled past had made her steelier than her half-sister, and this made her more...mature for her age. Her voice had always been too deep, but she felt as if this increased her maturity, knowing that her same voice would become only deeper as time flowed on. She waited patiently for her answer, her gaze stony with a hint of a kit's curiosity. She was sure that she wouldn't lose this, she always needed answers, always searching for more.
OOC: I could always delete this if it is wished.

Shadowkit Shadowkit stared in horror as a big two legged thing picked up his sister Frostkit when a blur of brown fur whooshed from the ivy and saved her. Shadowkit feared for his sister even though she didn't seem as if she would be in trouble with the unknown cat. It was just sibling worry. "Pearlkit, we've gotta get back to the camp." He said with finality. They made their way through the dense ivy and found the camp entrance. "Mother! Father!" Shadowkit yelled as he ran through the tunnel. Badgerface and Woodstripes were sitting in the middle of the camp with Frostkit between them. "Frostkit!" He yelled and nosed his sister affectionately. "We're sorry Mother and Father. We...we just wanted to see what it looked like outside this camp." Shadowkit bowed his head respectively, humility is the best way to get out of things sometimes.
