These are the rules you must ALWAYS follow when you are on my site. No exceptions.
StarClan's Rules:
1. No swearing
I do not take kindly to swearing. It is the quickest and surest way to me deleting both your comment and your membership. I do not want this site to be known as 'The swearing clan cats', and if you like this site I doubt you would want that either.
2. Respect Others
I know that when you read that, you might have sighed. However, I don't mean respect others like your second grade teacher might have. When I say respect others I mean be fair. I don't want any "I bite your neck and sucked the life out of you before you had time to defend yourself. You are now dead and nothing can bring you back to life." That is another reason for me to delete your membership. To say that we will avoid arguments is like saying that Obama will save the world from aliens from outer space. People are different and that leads to disagreements. I don't mind if you argue over something, but I don't want you swearing at each other or being rude or offensive.
3. Don't be stereotypical
There is nothing that bothers me more than a stereotypical person. Not all gay men are designers, not all Asians are bad drivers, not all teenagers are interested in drugs and drinking. If I or one of the staff members see that there is someone being stereotypical then they will receive whatever punishment we see as just.
4. Post in the Correct Area
Please don't post something where it doesn't belong. You should know if you are posting it in the wrong place, and if you don't know that you are posting in the wrong place, then you haven't done enough reading.
5. No Detailed Mating
I don't know why I didn't add this earlier, but I guess it didn't cross my mind. I do NOT want to read about how you and your mate get done up. Most people find that disgusting, including me. If this is found it is an immediate suspension.
6. Only Six Cats at a Time
You may only RP as six cats at one time. You can have less than six, but the limit is six. Kits do not count until they become apprentices. When they become apprentices then you must give them away or kill them off. Any cats you own that haven't had any activity for awhile will either be given away or killed off. However, we will warn you when one of your cats is starting to appear less frequently.
7. Every Post must be at least 100 Words
Do you see how fussy I am with spelling, grammar, etcetera? I want everybody and every post to be like that. I'm keeping the word limit at a low number at the moment. This may change over time. But for now, this is the minimum.
8. No Power-Playing or God-Moding
God-moding: the ability to have skills or to inflict injuries beyond ones reasonable for a someone your character's age to possess/inflict.
New apprentices will not be able to take on their mentors and win unless their mentor lets them, or they're very lucky. A warrior against warrior match should be have the victor be decided by experience and skill, not 'I don't want my cat do die/get injured!' Because these are feral cats, your cat is likely to get injured, though you (not the person who attacks you) are allowed to decide how severe the injury is, or if you get injured at all. Just remember that you will get hit occasionally; maybe even often! ;)
Power-playing: taking control of another's cat
Fallen is an especially big hater of this. You should never make someone else's character do something or say something: even seeing an emotion or a reaction before the person has posted is a bit much. Eg;
The answer to Silverbrains' role-player's question is simple.
a) Ignore the post.
b) Ask them politely to change it ^^
9. Acceptance
Once your bio is accepted by an admin, they will move it to the'[clan name] Cats' sub-board of that cat's clan. Only the staff accept bios ^^
10. No Plagiarism
If you ever copy another person's work and call it your own you will get in deep trouble. Not only is this against moral code, but it is also against American law. If I or another member finds plagiarism you will immedietly be kicked off my site, the person who was plagiarized will be begged for forgiveness, and the post removed.
