Hollowbranch [/b] Hollowbranch had to stop for her leader. "They attacked us!" she yowled loudly, for the camp to hear. "They attacked us- and we were on our side of the border!" she spat, malice thick in her voice. Gasps from the other cat rose into the air. Upon stopping, she realized just how tired she really was. She had run here as fast as she could, but there wasn't any possible way she could run back. She dropped the herbs in front of Silentstar. "Please, take these to Smokeleaf." she panted.

Badgerface Badgerface stared at Woodstripes, his eyes wide with worry and amusement. She thinks I'm a StarClan warrior? Same Woodstripes and ever. He lowered his head to lick Woodstripes cheek. If she lived through this, she would never leave his sight.

Stormleaf
Stormleaf leaned over Woodstripes, his paws deftly dressing the wound with marigold. He nodded his thanks to Smokeleaf, then turned to Badgerface. "The bleeding has stopped, but she has still lost lots of blood." Stormleaf padded over to a moss-covered tree, then returned, dropping a large clump of moss at Badgerface's paws. "I know you don't want to leave her," Stormleaf said, "but she needs liquid to help replace the blood she lost. There's a river nearby." He sat down, his eyes filled with worry.

Badgerface Badgerface nodded, he would do anything if it would help Woodstripes. He grasped the moss in his jaws and sprinted toward the river. He found it, dipped the moss in the cold water, and headed back. Woodstripes lapped the water and rested. Badgerface gathered more moss and heather to make a nest for Woodstripes. He lay next to her, waiting for the next hours to pass quickly.

Stormleaf
Stormleaf examined Woodstripes wound for the fifth time that hour. It was clean, and there was no sign of infection. "And let's keep it that way," Stormleaf murmured to himself, smiling grimly at his own worry. He was little more than an apprentice himself, as his mentor had died a quarter moon ago, and was slighty unsure of his abilities.

Silentstar [/b] Silenstar arrived at the scene, looking at his broken warrior with worry in his blue eyes. He looked across the border, and became furious. We were on our side of the border! Seastar has gone too far, he would have to find their main water supply, and fast. But, his warriors only had one life, and he had nine.
"How long has she been like this?" Silenstar murmured. He looked at the beautiful brown warrior with pity. There was no reason for this!
"FrostClan cannot go unpunished now," he continued. "We need to take care of Seastar and FrostClannow. I will continue out the mission alone from here. Stormleaf, I trust you can handle this? If I am needed for no further assistance, I will continue this patrol's first mission objective."
He shifted his brown paws, restless. His ice blue eyes narrowed into hard slits as he scanned FrostClan territory. Woodstripes [/b] Woodstripes felt Badgerface's fur brush against hers. She had no idea how much time had passed, and she snuggled closer to the heat source.
"My StarClan warrior," she murmured, still delirious from blood loss. The dark specter was gone from her sight, and she felt safe around Badgerface. Maybe... he was the one? She would have to spend more time with him after her head decided to stop being so heavy.

Seastar "What mission?" She called from her side of the border. Her head tilted and ears pricked with curiosity. "I never left, I was waiting for Stormleaf to tell me if I needed to get something for him." She stared at the ginger leader on the other side of her forest. He glared at her, clearly not trying to hide his anger. "Look, I didn't plan the attack, after Woodstripes talked, Spottedwing was furious and attacked her. Believe me, Spottedwing will be punished. It was unneccesary and uncalled for. I hope you can accept my apologies?" Seastar looked at the leader. He was looking more worried than she had ever seen him. And so did the black and white cat laying next to Woodstripes. Are they mates? Seastar waited for an answer from Silentstar before she would continue on about the previous gathering.

Silenstar [/b] Silenstar narrowed his blue eyes. They scorched Seastar with a freezing anger. It took a lot of self-control not to growl when he spoke.
"My warriors were sent on a patrol, and I was about to cross over to question you and hear the whole story," Silenstar replied. "But since you're here, that simplifies things." He sat down calmly, trying to calm himself.
"And, perhaps I can accept your apology, with promises of a well-earned punishment," Silentstar added, making his fur lie flat. He then glanced down at the broken warrior. Woodstripes was close to Badgerface, perhaps they would become mates?
Silenstar hoped that she wouldn't join Starclan today. She was a vital warrior in his clan, even though she could be a little hard to work with at times. Woodstripes seemed likely to recover, but nothing is set in stone.

Seastar Seastar nodded her head. "Yes, a well deserved punishment indeed." she thought for a moment then spoke again. "How about you take part in her punishment? Tell me what you think would be deserving?" That was fair. She thought to herself. Seastar gazed at the bloody warrior, she truely and honestly hoped that StarClan wouldn't have a cat being gained in their ranks today.

Silentstar [/b] Silenstar thought for a moment of a good punishment. All of the punishments he thought of would cause a great deal of pain to the she-cat: clawing off her ears, chopping off her tail. He shook his head, clearing his thoughts of violence, then thought of a better idea.
"this cat obviously has not learned the ways of thinking before acting," Silentstar started. "I believe she should have to reflect on her actions every night at a quiet place, away from the others for a moon at least. Also, assign her medicine cat duties, like collecting herbs for Smokeleaf, cleaning out the elders' den, and other various tasks that will teach humility and patience."
He thought for a little more, then his eyes lit up. He had a thought in mind, it would also serve his initial purpose.
"Is there a place on your territory where she can think before water?" Silentstar started. "Water has always been calming to me, and it flows forward, like letting your feelings go. It could serve as a great metaphor for the insolent warrior." He sat down patiently beside Woodstripes, awaiting approval of Seastar's idea.

Seastar "Yes, yes, I have thought of those things." She nodded. "Water? We are cats not otters!" She yowled. She couldn't think of a worse thing besides water. Wait, no she did think of one mud. She shuddered and carried on. "And what would the purpose of clearing her thoughts prove? She acts on what she thinks, if she does not think she does not act. I'm not a brain-washer but I would like it if she help out around the camp. And her quick-minded-thinking can be of use. I just need to teach her a lession about how to think of the consiquences." She thought to herself a bit longer while waiting for his reply. " Maybe have her watch the camp, alone by herself? Through the whole night, and in the morning she will get a few hours rest, then do apprentice things." Seastar nodded to herself. Then looked to Silentstar for an answer.

Silenstar [/b] Silenstar had noted the leader's fear and disgust of water. It would come in handy later. He then straightened up.
"that sounds perfectly reasonable," Silentstar replied. "I believe she will feel punished afterwards. Good idea."
Silenstar looked down at Woodstripes. Her breathing had slowed, and was at a healthier rate. A lot of time had passed. Silenstar decided to move her body back to camp as soon as possible.
"Badgerface, can you help me move Woodstripes back to camp once she wakes up?" Silenstar asked. "We'll need to move her soon. Her scent of blood will attract predators tonight, we can't leave her out here."

Stormleaf
Stormleaf watched Silentstar speak with a smirk on his face. *What a leader,* he thought, shaking his head. Cunning and ruthlessness was a trait Stormleaf could appreciate.
After a quick check on Woodstripes wound, Stormleaf turned to Silentstar. "I'm sure it's safe to move her, but, though it's not your strong point, be gentle." He said the last words with a smile on his face to assure the leader he was joking.

Smokeleaf was a little stunned to see Stormpaw take over the patient, but obviously Redleaf was busy... Still. "Stormpaw, finally. Where's Redleaf?" 'He should be here. He would've been here in a heart-beat, and...' Well, no. The apprentice looked old enough to be walking alongside his mentor as Stormleaf. Competent too --although he'd better be at least that after training under that medicine cat. It took a lot of effort to want to be on the same side of the border as her lead--no, not even that- as that she-cat, but now that she was no longer needed, IvyClan would have her hide. Still, as far as she could figure, they might possibly owe her. Although probably not: it would be worse than stupid to try to extract a favour from Silencestar at this point.
She almost yowled out again at Seastar's comment. 'Of course it's your fault, you stupid fool! Would this cat be lying here if you hadn't taunted Silentstar? If you hadn't tried to respond to his threat with violence?' Of course not. If Seastar had been an eighth as patient as the leaders before her, this mess would never have happened. Even that half-conscious warrior seemed to be in better shape than Seastar, to Smokeleaf's mind. She gave a forced mrr of amusement as the she-cat whispered something, and the bulky tom smiled. Mates, perhaps? 'And if not now, certainly soon after. What she-cat wouldn't fall for that heroic performance of his?'
"The bleeding has stopped, but she has still lost lots of blood." Smokeleaf nodded with approval, then headed off, continuing down the FrostClan border and pointedly ignoring her leader. It was still a beautiful green-leaf morning: how all these warriors still had energy after that Gathering she'd never know. She knew an old fox den around here somewhere: what was stopping her from taking a nap?
---Exit Smokeleaf---
((OOC: So much to catch up on... O.O... Or not XD *Has Smokeleaf exit* I'm sorry, Seafeather, Smokeleaf's being very... vocal D: Her sentiments are not shared!))

Stormleaf
Stormleaf frowned as Smokeleaf departed. She seemed to be expecting Redleaf, but that couldn't be possible. The aged medicine cat's death was supposed to be announced at the night before's Gathering. Perhaps Silentstar had alot on his mind, becoming a leader and all that. Or maybe he didn't want to reveal weakness; losing a capable medicine cat was a pretty serious thing. The broad-shouldered tom shook his head. No matter. He would bring the other medicine cats the news when they traveled to the Moonplace, if they hadn't realized Redleaf's absense already; The flame-colored tabby was a warm, social cat that was hard to miss. Stormleaf closed his eyes, clearing his head. This was no time for sentimental thoughts. Nodding to his leader, he limped off, knowing that even with his head-start he would lag behind the others.
